Perfect for summer on the dock...
Required Ingredients
⅔ | Cup | butter |
1 | Cup | brown sugar (packed) |
2 | Cup | flour |
1 | Cup | chopped nuts |
16 | Ounce | cream cheese (2 large bars) |
1 | Cup | sugar |
½ | Teaspoon | grated lemon peel |
4 | Teaspoon | lemon juice |
1 | Teaspoon | vanilla |
¼ | Cup | milk |
2 | | eggs |
Preparation Instructions
- Beat together butter and brown sugar until blended; mix in flour; stir in chopped nuts. Set aside 2 cups of the mixture and lightly press remainder into a 9x13 pan. Bake in a 325 degree oven for 15 minutes.
- Beat together the cream cheese (at room temperature) and the sugar until blended. Stir in milk, lemon peel, lemon juice, vanilla and eggs; beat until smooth. Pour over crust.
- Sprinkle the reserved nut mixture on top and back in a 325 degree oven until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean, about 35 minutes. Cool, cover and chill before cutting into bars. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
